A third trip for me, and a third different method of travel. This one was by far the most hassle free, and pleasant. On the morning of the 9th of November we took the train from Manchester to London, the tube to Waterloo station, then the Eurostar to Lille in Northern France.
We were based in the village of Meteren on the outskirts of Bailleul in a wonderful converted barn. There was enough rooms for one each, so no more of the nightmares of the previous years. A minor customs squabble and a forgotten wallet apart, everything went smoothly. As before, click a location below to see and read more.
