Director: Alan Rudolph

Starring: Keith Carradine, Linda Fiorentino, John Lone, Genevieve Bujold, Wallace Shawn, Geraldine Chaplin, Kevin J. O’Connor.

An American artist living in 1920s Paris is approached to recreate, or more accurately, forge famous works of art. In between, he is pursuing his ex-wife for a reconciliation, an art dealer (Bujold) to sell his paintings, and excitement in the bohemian atmosphere of the Paris cafe society.

It’s a surreal film at times, with a slow main story interspersed with moments of action. Definitely not one for all tastes, but an enjoyable if quirky tale.
