We spent three days and nights in St. Lô. The town is very pleasant, although little of the pre-second world war infrastructure survives it still has a charm. We spent a day exploring the various sights connected with the Allied invasion and sampling the local brew in a variety of hostelries. I recommend Pelforth. The pub by the side of the theatre/exhibition hall was like an oasis when we stumbled in with all our luggage absolutely gasping for a pint. The friendly staff called us a taxi, so we repaid them by drinking three pints each in exceptionally quick time.
Below are a few of the images I captured on our tour of the town.
