The remains of the jail.

This is the remains of a prison which was destroyed on the nights of the 6th and the 7th June 1944. The fleeing German soldiers left hundreds of people locked up to endure the shelling, many of whom were Resistance fighters.
The door at the top of the stairs contains an urn with the ashes of the prisoners who died, and the structure is now a monument to the resistance fighters of the area. It is located in the main square.
