The site of the former Pozières windmill. The Australians built this memorial on the ruins of the windmill. The stones from it are still in situ. It's a place many Ausrtalians visit and is a focal point for them. On the day we were there two Aussies were sat on the mound toasting their countrymen with a bottle of spirits. They can be seen ahead of Gerry and Stu on the picture. This is the highest point on the Somme battlefield and is occasionally referred to as Hill 160.
