Sherlock Holmes Meets Jack The Ripper could be an alternate title for this gruesome thriller concerning the notorious serial killer of Whitechapel, London. It’s based on the popular theory of the royal connection, but has a twist to the tale. The stellar cast do the tale justice, with the setting and period detail superb.
It was remade in all but name in 2001. “From Hell” was more or less the smae story, but without the Sherlock Holmes angle, this time following Inspector Abberline.
