On the outskirts of Bastogne on Mardasson Hill stands the main American memorial for the area. It’s a hugely impressive structure which affords great views when climbed. The museum is okay, but is let down with some of the items on sale in the shop. Poor taste isn’t in it. It could maybe be excused in the heart of Bastogne where there are shops full of tat, but at a place that purports to be a memorial it’s entirely misplaced.
