The end of our day in Luxembourg came with a trip through the capital city in rush hour. It was a long drive with roadworks not helping. We were heading for two cemeteries on the outskirts of the city in the suburbs of Hamm and Sandweiler.

We knew of one famous burial at the American cemetery, but purely by chance, and by a bit of research upon my return, I found the fascinating tales of three other men. This was a great surprise as I only took pictures of five graves entirely at random. Their stories can be read underneath their pictures below.
