We stopped at the town of Gennep for some dinner and a brew. There was a shop showing photographs of the town during the war and the destruction visited upon it. It’s a nice little place with an excellent bakers where we refuelled ourselves. Overloon is a village in the Dutch province of Brabant. It was the site of a major battle at the end of the war, and is the home to the National War and Resistance Museum. We also visited the Commonwealth war cemetery in the town. |
