Very early in the morning, we set off through the mist over the border into Germany. Wed planned another long and varied day, so the early start was essential to get it all in. As it was we started to lose the light again towards the end of the day.

Donsbruggen is an out of the way German military cemetery, but also has civilian casualties of the bombardments prior to the Allied invasion. There are some poignant sights, young sisters buried side by side, and countless female graves with floral tributes. There is little on this cemetery on the internet, and Im unable to find out why they are in a military cemetery. Any information gratefully received.
