Our second base was Caen, but as mentioned earlier, we had to make an unscheduled stop in the village of Canisy. We got there by taxi from St. Lô and soon settled in with a few beers and fine food in the hotel/guest house we stayed in. I didn't partake myself, I had a very nice salad and some bread, but the other three lads said it was a superb meal.
Here are a few images of the village. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of the establishment we stayed in, but it won't be hard to find if you ever chance upon this place.
