The Fernsehturm

or Television Tower was built between 1965 and 1969 and was intended to show Communist innovation to the residents of West Berlin. It's the third tallest structure in Europe standing at 368 metres. The ball houses a restaurant (which we didn't visit) and a viewing platform (which we did). It's a spectacular view, and an unforgettable experience.
