At the rear of Connaught Cemetery lies Thiepval Wood. It's closed off now and private property, but there was nobody around to ask about entrance so we climbed the fence. There are preserved trenches and ongoing excavations on the small section that have been renovated. Information boards give the story of the area and the work being done to preserve it for future generations.
