Authuille

Authuille cemetery. In the early morning mist, and with dew on the floor, the tranquil cemetery made for one of the prettiest and most serene I'd visited.
The graves are ranged down the slope of the valley and give a good idea of the task the men faced. The multinational make up of the British Army is evident here with British, Irish, South African and a number of Indian lancers all buried side by side.
