John Frost Bridge

It isn't the original bridge, or even the bridge that was fought over. The original was built in 1935 but was destroyed in 1940 to stop the German advance. It was then rebuilt by the Germans in 1944, but damaged by the American airforce in October 1944 and finally blown up by the Germans at the end of that month.
The current bridge was built to the plans of the one that was present during the battle and was opened in 1950.
