Sixty year old John Fogg of the Royal Defence Corps. This regiment was mainly concerned with security in the UK. They were on guard at prisoner of war camps and provided security for strategic sites such as ports and bridges.
They are the equivalent of the second world wars Home Guard.
John Fogg had previously served in Burma with 1st Battalion The Royal Welch Fusiliers between 1885 and 1887.
